“Kids Prayer for Peace”, an outreach program aimed at reclaiming the peaceful image of Libon was conducted by Tara Libon and members of the St. Rapahael Academy Alumni Association on November 4, 2018, in Barangay Zone 5 in Libon, Albay.

Paul Segui, founder of Tara Libon believes that the outreach program can revert the perspective of residents and visitors about the town. He claimed that the once peaceful town has been marred by fear and violence after several killings in the area.

“May mga nagagadan, may bumubulakda. Kaya matatakot ka magpa-Libon,” Segui said in an interview.

He added that they have chosen Barangay Zone 5 for the prayerful activity because residents in the area are kind. Reciting the Holy Rosary and a feeding program were among the activities participated in by children.

Meanwhile, Segui is appealing to candidates of the upcoming May elections to include peace and order in their platforms.

“Sana maging programa ninda ang peace and order. Sana mabalik su dating image kan libon,” he said.
