LEGAZPI CITY – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) under its “Gamit ni Bulilit” program distributed various school supplies to 27 public elementary schools in the provinces of Albay and Camarines Sur benefiting over 3000 pupils.
According to Nilda Somera, Regional Corporate and Public Affairs Officer of NGCP, the program is a priority project under their Corporate Social Responsibility programs that aim at providing educational support to elementary pupils from grades 1 to 3 in schools situated in barangays that hosts their facilities.
It’s NGCP’s way of expressing gratitude to host communities who have been supportive in protecting TL (transmission lines) facilities and ensuring its safety so we enjoy reliable electricity,” Somera said.
Somera added that the program will continue and will “strive” to reach more communities in the future. (JT Bernal)
